Tuesday:
Last year on this date I posted on the wiki an x-ray of my wrist that I broke over the weekend while riding at Mammoth Mountain. To celebrate my one year anniversary of my crash, I went back to Mammoth with two students and rode again. Long story short, we had an epic day. Below is a photo of me following Tim Hessling off a step-down on the trail called Twilight Zone.
Today we are going to start our Plant Uses Keynote. It will be an ongoing document that we will add to for the rest of the year. Below is a shared version of what your slides need to look like for this document.
We will be using this keynote as an opener for the rest of the year.
Now it is time for some drawing. Please get out your journals. You will start drawing/practicing your graphic skills with tree symbols. Below is a link to the tree symbols you will practice drawing today. Tree Symbols
Wednesday: Platanus racemosa
Please get started on the opener. If you see a plant name next to day you know it is the opener and you need to add it to your plant keynote. Everyone please to me a favor and rename your document, I named it incorrectly when I loaded the file Tuesday. Please name it Per2_PlantsToKnow_YourName.
After you are done with the opener please retake the Design Process Quiz. The link is below. The Design Process Quiz
Now on to TERMINOLOGY!
Thats right, we need to get a little more familiar with the correct terminology we us in this class. Today we will focus on plant descriptions. Everyone please get out your journals and be ready to take some notes. After the notes you will need to make yourself flashcards using Keynote to help study these different plant descriptions. Use the below Keynote as a template to get started.
